Selma's Vino Advice- Featuring Ravenswood Vintners Blend

Welcome to week three of my blog! It appears that we have another three weeks to go before we are able to go out and go back to visiting local wineries and tasting delicious wines. For now, we will continue to share with you the wines that we are drinking so you can also try new wines from the comfort of your own home.

For the next wine recommendation, I would like to share with you the Ravenswood Vintners Blend Zinfandel. I bought this wine at Costco for $6.99 but you can also find it at many online wine stores as well as local grocery stores for about $7.00 to $12.00 per bottle. When I saw this bottle, I thought about my dad because I have seen him pick up this bottle of wine before and I remember him saying, “Good wine, good price” with a slight smile. My dad is a wine connoisseur more than I am so when I saw this wine, I knew I had to buy it.

I opened this bottle of wine to enjoy while I made dinner. As I took the first sip, I was quite impressed with how juicy and good the wine was. Some Zinfandels can be quite dry but this wine was the total opposite. This Ravenswood wine is a blend of about 80% Zinfandel and 20% Petite Syrah which makes it very unique and flavorful. This wine is definitely a go-to for me from now on and I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as my dad and I do. Cheers!
